ImagingRing r is a rail-mounted X-ray imaging system used to help localize a patient during radiation therapy. It produces two-dimensional planar and three-dimensional cone beam CT images to support positioning, monitoring, and assessment of internal target motion.
The ring gantry moves along a ceiling-mounted rail. Its X-ray source and flat-panel detector move independently to acquire projections around a selected region of interest. Software controls acquisition and reconstructs the image data.
